1 BAY MEAQPWS NOTES ! 1$ . and At the end of sixteen days of Bay Meadows racing apprentice R. Colpitts, under contract to L. Copenhaver, led the jockeys with thirteen winning mounts, while J. Longden was second with eleven wins, and A. Gray third with ten. Longden and R. Neves accepted the most mounts, each having ridden seventy-three horses. j Favorites have not fared so well during the meeting, but thirty-six public choice have won out of 114 races. Thirty-nine of the favorites have been unplaced. The total mutuel handle for the first sixteen days was ,312.203, which is an average of 2,012 per day. The handle for the first sixteen days of the meeting last fall was ,404,236.
