RARE BEN, in the thick of contention from the start, took a slight lead midway of the back stretch, came again after being displaced at the stretch turn, and in a hard drive, was up right at the end. BROKEN UP worked his way up on the inside, found racing room, then came to the outside to finish with a belated rush. RIVER ROSE was rushed along from the beginning, and then faltered when reaching the home stretch. LA CHERIE came with a belated rush in the last half mile. TARTAN BETSY showed a good effort. PIPING HOT was forced to race wide and weakened. TRANSPORT was unable to threaten UNKNOWN SOLDIER was never a factor. . . Scratched 08706JMasked Queen, 104.
