1 BAY MEADOWS NOTES T 1 Apprentice R. Neves, one of the leading riders at the meeting, began serving a five-day suspension Tuesday. He was set down for rough riding Saturday. Ex-jockey Willie Johns saddled his first horse in his new capacity as trainer when he sent the roan filly Leonie to the post for Mrs. G. M. Reese in the second race. W. B. Finnegan, well known western trainer, is now conditioning the horses of the Pasadena Stable that are racing at Bay Meadows. L. T. Whitehall, former trainer, has departed for Texas. Word reached here Tuesday stating that a number of horses have arrived at the Ak-Sar-Ben field, Omaha, to await the opening of a summer meeting at that point. It is probable that a thirty-day meeting will be held following the close of Riverside Park Kansas City. A style show in which mannequins from a San Francisco store will show off the latest spring sports customs will be an added attraction at Bay Meadows Saturday. Judge George W. Schilling, who. will officiate as presiding steward at Tanforan, was a visitor Tuesday. Judge Schilling, who is at present presiding at Agua Caliente, came from the southern resort by airplaneto take m a few days 6f sport and to confer with John W. Marchbank, owner of Tanforan. E. Drillon has leased the services of apprentice L. Martin from R. J. Richards. Martin rides at 100 pcuads.
