KAI HARRI, under strong handling from the start, sprinted into a clear lead in the opening three-sixteenths, drew away in the stretch, tired fast in the last stages and just lasted. MISS DIAVOLO, away slowly and forced to race wide while going forwardly, came to the inside for the drive and was wearing down the winner near the end. LADY CARROT, used up in reaching contention, tired in the last eighth. CALIBAN began very slowly and, outrun for three-sixteenths, saved ground entering the stretch and closed with a rush. CHEERUS took command soon after the start, sprinted into a good lead in the opening three-sixteenths, was inclined to bear out in the stretch, responded when threatened and won easily. BOSOPI, a strong factor from the start, was put to good urging in the stretch and held on well. MAYLITE improved her position steadily, came to the inside for the drive and tired after offering a strong bid nearing the final eighth. MANNIE, away slowly and used up in reaching contention at a loss of ground, tired in the drive. BALLY WISE raced greenly. GREEN LOTUS was outrun. CHATTERBELLE quit. CHIEFS PRIDE, under a strong drive from, the start, gave way in the stretch, came again in the last stages and out finished KYSO. The latter forced the pace under strong handling, reaching the lead nearing the final eighth, but tired near the end. FAIRSICKLE, a strong factor from the start, was shuffled back at the far turn, responded fast when clear and closed boldly. FORTUNATE YOUTH, never far back and in close quarters, came to the outside for the drive and finished strongly. PLAYFUL MARTHA, slow to begin and on the outside, showed a good effort. The latter lost ground while racing forwardly, responded fast in the strettli wore down CLAREMONT, but failed to withstand the winner. CENTENNIAL, outrun for a half mile, was put to strong pressure in the drive and was wearing down the leaders at the end. SEYMOUR, far back for five-eighths, closed with a rush. CLAREMONT, under good urging while disposing of JUSTICE LOGAN, quit rapidly in the last stages. BLACKSTRAP showed nothing. BOSSIE EYE, unable to improve his position for three-quarters, swerved badly in the drive, but closed strongly. RIZLA showed little. CELIBA, used up in forcing the pace, quit under pressure.
