PJTORNO was rushed into command after the break and drew away rounding the far turn, responded to urging in the stretch run and held on gamely in the final drive. POMPISH moved up fast under urging, made a determined bid in the strctrh ran and outlasted BUTTER in the fin3l strides. The latter was close up in the early stages, came around the leaders entern- the s etcli and then closed fast. BETTY VIC was steered to the extreme outside rounding the stretch turn and finished with a rush. CELTIC LEGEND was in nearest pursuit of the early pace, but faltered at the finish. TAKE HEED ran in spots. PROXIMITY had no mishaps. KITTY REIGH moved up fast after the break, was caught in close quarters and then faltered. Scratched 34974 Rtigh Helen, 115. The latter improved her position steadily and finished well on the outside. ANNE G., close up in the early stages, faltered under pressure in the stretch run. CHOICE GOODS came aain in the stretch run. .SOCIAL ERROR could not menace the leaders in the running. CARVER had iw mishaps-in the running; WAR PROFITS had no excuses- BUZZINi AROUND ducked to the outside , it ithe break and was as good as left. He galloped after his field. ... The latter, close up from the start and on the outside in the early running, was carried wide rounding the stretch turn, but bore in in the final eiihth: THE RUNNER dwelt slightly at the start, but improved his position steadily and then finished well. TALKED ABOUT broke well, but was outrun in the early stages, improved his position on the inside, but was blocked in the final eighth and could not get through. THAT ONE moved up nearing the far tarn and then faltered. SALAVINA, sore going to the post, showed a flash of early speed. SMART AGNES quit badly. Ovjrvvei-ht Salavina, 3 pounds. MASTER LAD was rated along steadily, came to the outside of the leaders cntenng the stretch, bore over slightly at the eighth post and held on with good courage. HEADIN HOME met with some interference in the stretch after closely following the pace and tired. WARD-IN-CHANCERY was closer up than usual, moved up with good courage when called upon, but finished on his own courage at the end. LEGIONARY quit badly at the end. SIXTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. LANGUOROUS was close up but under steadying restraint, made a determined bid on the outside in the stretch run and finished fast. DEDICATION was rushed into a commanding lead rounding the first turn and then quit under urging. BONNIE BUZZ improved his position steadily, but could not menace the winner.
