SUICIDE MINERS DEFIANT BEUTHEN, Germany, Oct. 26. Eight hundred miners in a Polish coal mine, who have entombed themselves in an underground hunger strike, showed their defiancy Saturday when they barricaded all approaches to the shaft and hoisted a black flag, symbolical of their intent to carry out their promise. The strikers are demanding better working conditions and higher wages.
