1 EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES ! Frank J. Kearns will ship the Calumet Stable to Pimlico at the close of this meeting and point Privileged for the Pimlico Futurity. Max Hirsch returned from Laurel, where he saddled Dawn Play for the King Ranch in the Selima. He stated that he will winter his horses at Columbia, S. C. Joe Peters, acting for George Beck, of Gloversville, N. Y., purchased from W. A. Kelly the two-year-old Devils Banner. John Kermath will race the horses owned by John E. Hughes in California this winter. Jockey and Mrs. Nick Wall celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary Saturday evening. He showed no immediate effects from his fall from Sir Randolph and resumed riding Monday.
