HENRIERVA hustled to the front, drew Hear after disposing of LADY PHARAMOND, responded to good hand riding in the last stages and withstood DONNA BARONA. The latter worked its way forward steadily, was steered to the outside for the drive and was wearing the winner down at the end. SLANT EYE, a strong factor from the start, was sent to the outside of the winner when blocked in the stretch and tired near the end. LADY PHARAMOND, well up from the start, gave way when her saddle slipped. SNOOPS raced wide. The others were outrun. Scratched 35552 B. Baron, 109; 35484 Silk Covering, 109. THUNDER LOU hustled to the front, gave way to the winner, but was much the best of the others. GAME saved ground throughout and held on well. BEA M., outrun for a half mile, moved up in the stretch. The latter rushed into a good lead, increased its advantage under light urging, tired in the last stages, but held DIXIE FLAPPER safe. The latter, never far back, saved ground to the stretch, was steered to the outside in the stretch and finished well. SPECTRUM tired after reaching contention. MANTECA showed a good effort.
