I LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES f 4 Jack Baker is bringing Eecussion, Brook Trout and two others from Lexington. The string which Mose Goldblatt, Cincinnati turfman, will race here includes Dnieper, Silversmith, Good Sclka, Dr. Menendez, Field Day, Panay and Gay Monarch. Dr. Menen-dez and Good Selka were returned from Keeneland, where both started. . Tom Piatt requested reservations for six head, including Master Beau and Flip Flap, which he is sending from Lexington in charge of J. P. Sallee. Others expected in the Piatt outfit are Macawlee, Byrdine, Forget and China Girl. Book Mark has been retired for the winter. Word was received from C. Hyde Smith that he is shipping twenty-six members of the Oddesa Stock Farm Stable to Churchill 1 Downs. Stalls were reserved for a division of the ISharidon Farm Stable, which Donald Mc-jEachern is bringing here from Lexington. This outfit includes Quincy, which finished j second to White Tie in the Lexington Stakes at Keeneland, and Crimson. Jack Weaver returned from Keeneland with Chenault and Belgian Boy, which he races for William E. Smith, vice-chairman of the Kentucky State Eacing Commission. The Smith string will be smaller than usual this fall. Likewise Cares Away and Delton have been sold to Jerry Powers, Kansas City patron, for a winter campaign in Texas. Harry Olive and Ultihouse are the other Smith horsej in training here. Otherwise has been sent to Golden Maxim Place for the winter. Dr. W. E. Coover brought Starry Flag and Golden Promise, which he is training for himself and T. S. "Tom" Beery, noted trotting horse driver. Top Bracket, property of Neville Dunn, sports editor of the Lexington Herald, will be sent to Dr. Coover later in the week. Mr. Beery is a visitor and plans to remain thronghout the meeting. Among the officials arriving was Thomas Oliphant, paddock judge, who came from Keeneland. William Cunningham, veteran clocker, also was an arrival and is timing horses from the grandstand. Joe Wiedekamp, who will serve as chief aid to his brother, E. A. Wiedekamp, in the mutuels department in the absence of Ernest White, who went from Keeneland to Narra-gansett Park, where he will serve as chief lieutenant to Mort Shaw, motored in from Keeneland, where he handled the approximate odds board. The horses George C. White will campaign here for the Eosedale Stable are Silk Mask, Bandalore, Kentucky Blues, Hat Check, Lake View, Cavour, Exclaim and Amneris. The apprentice T. Dickinson, under contract, will do most of the riding for the unit. A. "Spec" Dunne returned from Lexington with David Butlers Grace Carome, Screen, Canny Scot and Dashwood, which were raced at that point, to join up with Manners Man and Kisg Cicero, which had been quartered at Churchill Downs. Jockey Eddie Legere and Harold Beasy are connected with the stable of the Hollywood movie director.
