The regular opening date ! is Saturday, but this will be preceded by the Derby Festival Day on Friday. j Arrangements for Derby Festival Day, j scheduled at Churchill Downs Friday, October 30, as a day of racing preced- I ing the opening of the regular seven- day fall meeting, were completed at a i banquet in honor of the riders who will i compete in the fourth renewal of the j Gentlemens Cup race. The Cup is to j headline an eight-race program, the entire proceeds from which will go to ! swell the fund used to defray Derby i Festival Week next spring. J
