KNAVE, having the most speed, was placed to energetic riding on the second turn, came out in the stretch and, holding on well under more seveie pressure, shook olf MAREVE and was drawing out at the end. The latter raced wide throughout and, under restraint until reaching the final quarter, tired after offering a mild challenge. OLD NICK, well up from the start and on the inside until reaching the stretch where he came out, failed to rally to strong riding, yet held on well. JERRY S. saved ground throughout in his good effort. MISS PETRINA, also unable to improve her position, held on well. GANNONNIC was badly outrun early and was held safe to the end.
