HARRYS DREAM, forced wide at the first turn, moved up steadily when straightened in the back stretch, readied the leaders approaching the stretch, took a slight lead in the final eighth and held on stoutly to withstand CLARION CALL. The latter, shuffled back on the first turn, improved his position gamely on the outside and came with excellent courage under punishment in the final drive. EXHORT outran his field to the first turn, was rated in front, shook off BOULEVARD, but tired nearing the end. BOULEVARD followed close up for seven-eighths, then tired after a bold bid. MR. DUNCANNON made up ground slowly. BRIEF had no excuses. EARLY BROOM tired early. BOMAR did not fancy the footing. Scratched 34042 Chosen One, 106. Overweight Tintype, 1J pounds. PRINCESS ATHENE, in a good position and away in the first flight, displaced BREAD KING after the first quarter mile after following close up, was kept under pressure and outstayed RIDING HIGH. The latter worked her way up on the outside and finished gamely under a hard drive. MISS CAREFUL was making up ground steadily in the closing test. BILL BLEIWEISS had a lot taken out of him getting into contention and tired approaching the finish. COME BY CHANCE raced evenly. CHINESE INDIAN raced well after meeting with early interference. CANARD showed a flash of early speed. OPHELIA closed a big gap after getting away poorly. BREAD KING was done after a half mile. WALMISS was away poorly. DANARCO. kept close to the leaders and on the outside, responded nicely when put to a drive, over-haubd OFFENDER when straightened into the stretch and came out slowly at the end. OFFENDER broke swiftly, shook off MOLASSES BOB and MAEBOB, but could not withstand the winner. MAEBOB. taken up g.:ng to the first turn, saved a lot of ground entering the stretch, raced up on the inside of OFFENDER, then was weakly ridden in the -last quarter mile. MOLASSES BOB raced forwardly throughout and had no mishaps. ROLLICKER lacked speed and could not menace. TINDER BOX was outrun. The others were held safe. Scratched 35692 Prairie Prince, 113. SCATTER BRAIN raced close to WESTON for the first three-quarters, raced into a clear lead when moving into the lead at the final turn, responded willingly to severe pressure when forced to a drive and, holding on gamely, barely lasted long enough. CALUMET DICK bumped into ALADDINS DREAM going to the first turn, was handled stronger than in his previous race and fought it out determinedly in the final drive. ALADDINS DREAM, knocked off his stride by CALUMET DICK, dropped back badly, swung to the outside to reach contention at the final turn, but raced to the inside of the leaders in the stretch run and tired. FOREST CHARM sprinted into an easy lead going to the first turn, saved ground until reaching the stretch, swerved out badly under punishment, but held on willingly to stall off POOP DECK. The latter improved his position on the outside, rallied to punishment when moving into contention and finished gamely. BALMACAN went in the first flight throughout and held on with good-courage in the final test. STEPONIT went well placed and showed a good effort. TAUNTON could not improve his position when placed to a hard drive. GOLDEN PLAY closed a good gap after dropping far out of contention after the start. FLOSILDA raced in dull fashion.
