1 SUFFOLK DOWNS NOTES | j, $ Jockeys Hubert Le Blanc and Ken Mc-Combs are the latest additions to the rider colony. George Woods is agent for the boys. A division of the Coward and Coffey stable was sent to New York to campaign on the Metropolitan circuit. An effort will be made at Suffolk Downs to have post time for each race at intervals of twenty-five minutes from time the "off" signal is flashed on the preceding race. Jockey Frankie Maschek arrived with the Silver string. Joe Rosen will fly to Detroit after Fridays races to ride for E. W. Duffy. Jockey Leonard Turner has returned from New York to ride at Suffolk Downs. Tom Heard, Jr.s Be Blue, conqueror of Battle Jack in the Commonwealth Handicap. is running a fever and will be layed up for a time. C. Hartle, who broke his leg when thrown while exercising Felsa, will have his leg re-broken and re-set. Hartle is at the Boston City Hospital. John Shugrue shipped several horses to Agawam for engagements Saturday and the holiday but will be returned next week. Jockey J. Pollard, Seabiscuits pilot, will arrive at Suffolk Dcwns, ready to accept mounts on Monday, according to his agent, "Preacher" Aller. Busy K., recently acquired from P. D. Watts, arrived at Suffolk Downs on Friday and joined the large string that L. E. Ogle is campaigning here. W. Hurley is preparing stalls to receive four additional members of the E. R. Bradley string being transferred to Suffolk Downs from Belmont Park.
