WILLIAM F. BAXTER DIES OMAHA, Neb., May 28.— William F. Baxter, prominent business man of Omaha, succumbed to an illness today which confined him to his bed for several weeks. The end was not unexpected, though the deceased did rally on several occasions, and j for a time it appeared as if he would sur- vive. Baxter was president of the Kilpatrick j Company here and a leading figure in civic activities of this city. He was chosen king j of Ak-Sar-Ben for 1938, and it is the first j time in forty-four years that a reigning king i has been stricken with death. Baxter was j seventy years old and a native of Omaha. I Arrangements for the funeral were not completed at a late hour today.
