I TORONTO, Ont., May 28.— The racing scene in Ontario shifts from palatial Woodbine Park to the equally beautiful Thorncliffe Park, home of Thorncliffe Racing and Breeding Association where the seven-days spring meeting gets under way Monday. Many improvements have been made at this course since last fall and patrons will find that everything possible has been done for their enjoyment of the sport which has always been of the highest quality at this plant. There will be seven races daily with a featured event each day. One of the principal contests during the coming season will be the W. R. Woollatt Memorial Handicap, a mile and a sixteenth event for a purse of ,500 added, for three-year-olds and up. This event has been carded to the memory of the late William R. "Billy" Woollatt, former managing director and one of the most popular and widely known sportsmen, who passed away recently. The daily double form of wagering will b«, conducted on the first and second races each day with the ever-popular one-two on the last race. The first race will be called to the post at 2:30 each afternoon.
