CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I € ————— — j John McShane sold the sprinter Fumble to Jerry McCarthy and the horse goes to Agawam in the same car with the Enza-Vita Stable. McShane will campaign five at Lincoln Fields and is shipping them on Tuesday with the stable trained by Thomas Sanford. According to advices received here the two-year-old Royal Host, owned by Calumet Farm, died at Lincoln Fields, a victim of fever contracted while in shipment from Calumet Farm to that Crete course. The stables of Edward Haughton, S. B. Ott, Thos. Piatt and Ross Higdon got away Saturday night for Lincoln Fields. At least twenty-two horses will be in the division of the Woolford Farm stable going to Chicago for the Lincoln Fields and Arlington Park meetings, B. A. Jones, trainer of the stable, announced Saturday afternoon. Several candidates for the Lincoln Fields Stakes will be included in the string. Jockey Leon Haas arrived from New York to ride H. P. Headleys Flying Lee in the Oaks, and the same owners Airacuda in the Bashford Manor Stakes. Charles Landolt left Sunday for Lincoln Fields, where he will ride Monday. H. Schutte was another rider to get away for the Crete track.
