■ — * CABIN GAL STAKE WINNER Giddings Silks First in the William Hendrie Memorial Handicap on Final Day at Woodbine. TORONTO, Ont., May 28.— Cabin Gal, three-year-old daughter of Marine and Calm, carried the silks of H. Giddings to the most important victory of her career when she raced to a handy triumph in the twenty-eighth running of the William Hendrie Memorial Handicap, feature of the final day of the Ontario Jockey Club spring meeting. Ridden by A. Pascuma, the daughter of Calm raced the mile and one-sixteenth in 1:47, and led H. C. Hatchs Sweepden by two and one-half lengths at the finish. Third went to the Parkwood Stables Chuckler, another two and one-half lengths back and a head before H. S. Wilsons Dalamac. Nine faced the barrier and with the purse being advanced 00 by the association, brought ,730 to the winner. Another banner crowd witnessed the final days sport to wind up one of the best attended meetings enjoyed by the Ontario Jockey Club in some years. The track was at its best for the running of the card, with clear, sunny skies, and a decided rise in temperature.
