The latter disposed of ANN TERRY in the first three-eighths, was placed under strong pressure in the final eighth, but was not good enough. FRITZ W. moved into contention with a rush, but was unable to menace the leaders in the final drive. SUPREME KISS had no excuses. TROOPERETTE broke fast, but dropped out of it after an eighth. IMPERIAL LU, in hand while saving ground, took a short lead in the final quarter, but was not good enough. IMPERIAL POLLY, hard hustled from the start, tired in the drive, but outstayed LEROS. The latter, also under hard urging in the early stages, had nothing left for the final quarter. WILD BLONDE had no excuses.
