Gordon McMacken telegraphed from Toronto reserving stalls at Rockingham Park for the string he has in the Dominion at the present time. J. B. Miller also is campaigning in Toronto and hu-j requested stalls for his string at the Salem oval. A. J. Halliwell transferred the remainder of the string that he has been campaigning at Suffolk Downs to Thorncliffe Park. Jockey Mose Merrill will take Johnny Barbas place with the W. H. Gallagher string in New England, reporting to trainer John Donovan at Agawam Park Monday. Paul Keester, having served his five-day -ยป. suspension, began riding Monday. F. W. Webbs White Hot, winner of the Suburban Press Purse Friday, picked up a nail in his foot on his way back to the barn and will be out of competition for a time. Tommy Luther, veteran rider will commute between Suffolk Downs and Agawam, filling riding engagements at both tracks. Rockingham Park will be open to receive horses Wednesday. However, no horses will be permitted in the park unless their owners have received stable allotment cards. Cards are available from O. E. Pons, Jr. Trainer M. V. Hartley, who is ill at the Boston City Hospital, may be confined for a i considerable period and would like to hear from some of his friends.
