More than 600 thoroughbreds were expected to ship into the stable area from Tanforan Sunday and Monday. All the leading western stables will be represented. With workmen busily engaged in the final [touches of putting the huge plant in shape for opening day, Friday, June 10, Hollywood Park will be all completed four days before the inaugural day. Entries for the first big stakes, the Hollywood Premiere Handicap at six furlongs and the Inglewood Mile Handicap on June 11, will close Saturday, June 4.
