Won driving; second and third the same. CASPAR DE SALO was kept close up on the inside all the way, responded in the stretch run, slipped through past the leaders on the inside at the eighth post and drew away at the finish. WAR PERIL, close up but on the outside of the leaders from the start, made a determined bid when straightened out in the stretch and finished well. RED JACK showed speed from the start, disposed of HOSTILE in the stretch and then held on well. MAEVEL, from a slow beginning, finished with a rush. BIRD DOG closed some ground at the end. HOSTILE quit badly in the final eighth. IDOLON was outrun from the start. SQUIRREL ran in spots. ALLAMUCHY showed a Hash of early speed. Scratched— 57237 Skaggerak, 115. ANNIBAL jumped well and, kept close up under restraint, moved up after going a mile and a half, disposed of the opposition when ready and had speed in reserve at the finish. NATIONAL ANTHEM was rated ■long steadily, moved up stoutly nearing the ninth fence when called upon and finished well, but could not menace the winner. RED RAIN was taken back when outrun, made a determined bid in the final quarter mile and finished well under severe pressure. JUNGLE KING was rated along steadily in the first part, moved up when urged, but faltered badly in the final eighth. GOOD CHANCE raced well and had no mishaps in the running. FLYING WILD dropped back at the start, made her way up steadily and finished with good courage. RISSA showed speed from the start and had no mishaps. RED GLARE was shuffled back after the start, responded when urged and finished with a rush. FLORAGINA showed early speed, saved ground and had no mishaps. ACES WILD, on the outside rounding the far turn, quit badly. CATALYSIS lacked early speed. MIYAKO was shuffled after the start. ASIANNA showed early speed. RAMBLER ROSE was outrun.
