DOUBT NOT, quick to take command, was steadied around the turn, was mildly shaken up entering the stretch and drew out steadily thereafter. SMART TRICK, well up and in hand for three-eighths, could not menace the winner when called upon, but held the others safe. PERFECT BLEND, a factor from the beginning, held his position without need of strong urging. GRECIAN TIME saved ground and had no mishaps. VANWIND raced wide and tired in the linal quarter. SKALKAHOE, rushed into a contending position on the outside in the first quarter, was given a breather while racing wide on the turn, responded to urging in the drive and took the lead near the end. VEEKS, a sharp factor from the start, was in hand for a half mile and held on gamely under pressure thereafter, but was not good enough. GOOD SOLDIER, never far back, saved ground entering the stretch, took command with a rush approaching the last eighth and tired in the last sixteenth. ARIANNA. never far back, was hard ridden after three-eighths, but could not improve her position. QUICK RELIEF tired lifter showing good speed for a half mile. DARK SUN, a sharp factor from the beginning, was under strong pressure in the final quarter and held on fairly well. GOLD MESH, never far back, raced wide and did not thieaten. BEREIT took the lead early without need of strong pressure, was vigorously handled after a half mile and held JENS SON safe. The latter, well up from the beginning and in hand to the last quarter, was hard lidden thereafter, but could not get to the winner. CATCHEM, slow to begin, began to move up steadily after a quarter while racing wide and held on fairly well in the drive. BIRDS EYE saved ground throughout and tired in the last three sixteenths. OUR REIGH, never far back and under good restraint while racing on the outside, bore over next to the rail entering the stretch and, responding to strong urging, got up in the closing strides. SIR MIDAS forced the pace under a snug hold, continued gamely when hard ridden in the last quarter and just missed. PRINCE TORCH made the pace under good rating, responded to pressure in the drive and held on stubbornly, but was not good enough. OUR COUNT, hard ridden in the last three-eighths, lost ground entering the stretch and held on fairly well in the drive. WISE WILL tired badly after three-eighths. Scratched— 574464 Ruffy. 115. PREEMINENT, never far back and able to save ground on the turn, came to the outside for the drive and, finishing gamely under strong urging, just failed to get up. KINGS BLUE took command on the turn without need of strong handling, was put to punishment after reaching the stretch, held on well to the final sixteenth and then tired. CARDARRONE, away well, but unable to keep up, saved ground and closed stoutly on the inside. C-NOTE, outrun early, closed fairly well under hard riding. CHANCE RAY lacked speed and passed tiring horses in the last quarter. INVINCIBLE, fractious at the post, was outrun throughout. NATALIE ALICE, slow to begin and racing wide throughout, began to improve her position gradually after five-eighths, was hard urged after reaching the stretch and was up inside the last sixteenth. CHENAULT took command after a quarter without need of strong pressure, was under slight restraint to the final quarter, then held on gamely to the last sixteenth and tired. TRISTRAP, quick to take command, was under restraint for five-eighths, dropped back after reaching the second turn, came on again when called upon and closed gamely. BONNY CLABBER, well up and in hand for a half mile, moved up thereafter when called upon and tired in the last quarter. WESTERN RUN, fractious at the post and placed outside the stalls for the start, passed tiring horses in the last five-sixteenths. Scratched— 57699 Flying Breeze, 115. The latter, away slowly, rushed into a contending position after a quarter, while saving ground, was put to pressure after reaching the stretch turn and closed gamely. EMIR followed the pace under snug restraint, came to the outside for the drive, held on well to the last sixteenth and then tired. RITZ BROTHERS began to improve his position after a quarter, was hard ridden after five-eighths, but could not threaten. FAIREST FLAG raced evenly. LIFELIKE laced wide throughout.
