JUDGE LEER began to move up after about five sixteenths, came around ONE NIGHT gradually under light pressure in the stretch and, continuing strongly, came away in the final eighth. ONE NIGHT had good speed from the start, saved ground and stood a drive with good courage, but could not hold the winner. IMA GREENOCK, inclined to bear out, appeared to sulk under punishment when entering the stretch, but rallied to hand riding and outstayed BOY VALET. The latter began very slowly. ABBY B. quit. RESPHA, away well but taken in hand when unable to hold the advantage and rated to the stretch, raced into the lead with a rush on the inside and probably had something left. JUBILESTA. outrun for a half mile and brought to the outside in the stretch, closed strongly and. shaking off CARRICKORE, drew clear rapidly when approaching the finish. CARRICKORE raced wide throughout and, under ureing from the start, tired in the late stages. SLEEP OUT held on fairly well. COURTAWAY, on the inside for a half mile and receiving a hustling ride, swerved out in the stretch and began to falter before reaching the last eighth. TUNICA, taken in hand after being rushed into command and saving ground after the first five-sixteenths, tired slightly after increasing his advantage in the stretch, but held TRY BACK safe. The latter, taken out after reaching the turn and rated off the pace under light restraint, responded after about seven-eighths and was getting to the winner. VALVESTA was a prominent factor from the start and tired in the last quarter, but held the others safe. INTRIP could not get up. ICE QUEEN began sluggishly. CHARMED CIRCLE had no mishaps. QUICK CHANGE, away fast but urged when keeping up in the early stages, raced into command gradually approaching the stretch and, maintaining fine speed to the end, held sway to win decisively, but probably with little left. HOLTON, under a steady hold for three-eighths while racing between horses, stood pressure gamely thereafter and shook off BUSY MAN in the last eighth. The latter, saving much ground and receiving a hustling ride, had good speed from the start, but failed to stay under increased pressure in the last quarter. ROMAUNT, forced to race wide and in hand early, moved up boldly on the stretch turn, but gave way badly in the last three sixteenths. PLUCKY BYRD was forced back approaching the turn. ACCORDION, rated under a light hold for a half mile, held on with good courage in the drive. WOODSIA. rushed from the start, opened up a commanding advantage on the turn, but tired badly in the last eighth. UNERRING, well up from the start, came to the outside in the stretch and closed resolutely. CHERRY JAM, under strong urging from the start .displayed fine speed and held on with determination. THIRD DEGREE, always on the inside and in close quarters for a brief time soon after reaching the turn, moved up entering the stretch, but faltered in the late stages.
