NOTATION broke well and, taking a clear lead after going a quarter, drew out in the stretch, but barely held olf the challenge of NEVER BLUE. The latter, close up, slow to settle in her best stride came fast through the stretch and was getting to the winner. PRINCESS TOUR, away slowlv, came fast in the stretch and showed a good performance. BIT O BLACK raced evenly and was a keen "factor throughout. MARGARET I showed speed for a half then quit. The latter, a keen factor all the way, sett he pace, got to the front in the last quarter, but could not hold the winner. LUCKY QUEST was close up throughout and showed a good effort. THE MAYOR, taken to the lead at the quarter, tired in the drive when put to pressure. CHILHEE raced evenly all the way. IMMUTABLE quit.
