CONVENTION SET FOR BOSTON Racing Commissioners to Convene in Hub City on June 23, 24 and 25 — Meeting Important. NEW YORK, N. Y., May 30.— Dates were announced Friday by president Edwin J. Brown of Washington for tfc? midsummer convention of the National Association of State Racing Commissioners. The commissioners will convene in Boston June 23, 24 and 25. Working with Brown in the arrangement of convention events are John Sloan of New York, first vice-president; Ralph H. George of New Hampshire, second vice-president; Tom R. Underwood of Kentucky, secretary-treasurer, and chairman Charles F. Connors of the Massachusetts State Racing Commission, which will play host to the visiting delegates from the twenty-one states affiliated with the National Association of State Racing Commissioners. SEE BIG ATTENDANCE. "We are looking forward to a large attendance because of the important subjects that will be discussed," president Brown stated in releasing the convention dates. "A feature of the convention will be the report of chairman Herbert Bayard Swope of the New York State Racing Commission, who has been conducting a survey on starting systems. Commissioners and others desiring to make reservations in advance are requested to communicate with secretary Underwood, P. O. Box 156, Lexington, Ky." Chairman Connors of the Massachusetts commission will name the Boston convention headquarters in a few days. Matters of regular business will include reports of standing committees, special committees and breeder, trainer and thoroughbred associations.
