The latter, taken up at the start and outrun, moved up steadily and was going strongly at the finish. JAMES N., close to the pace from the start, bore out entering the stretch and tired In the closing eighth. ALANFOX broke from outside the stalls and was outrun early, then made up ground over tired horses at the finish. FLYING ARIEL and GERMANS were not persevered with when they tired. RICCADONNA broke from outside the stalls and was rushed into command, showed speed throughout, saved ground entering the stretch and finished well under urging. MINTSON was in close quarters on the far turn and forced his way through on the inside and, responding gamely when urged in the stretch, outlasted ADDIS in the final strides. The latter raced forwardly from the start. FOOLED, shuffled back after I the start, came through after going an ei hth and responded well when urged. SPANISH WAY, on the outside from the start, was gaining slowly at the end. PAPA JACK was outrun all the way. Scratched 72543 Pandonna, 116. POSTAGE DUE, rated along close to the pace while racing on the outside, moved up with a rush when urged and, disposing of SHOULDER ARMS, drew away in the final sixteenth. SHOULDER ARMS showed early speed while racing MAHDI into defeat and held on gamely to the final eighth, where he tired. MAY R. made up ground steadily in the stretch and closed well. HIGH VOTE had no mishaps in the running. MAHDI tired steadily in the stretch and was not persevered with. SUNTIME was outrun. FAMILY FRIEND was never a serious factor. ANDY, a factor from the start, responded gamely when urged in the stretch and held on well. TEDDYS GIRL was sent up fast on the outside on the far turn, was blocked entering the stretch, then came again at the finish. BLACK DEMON was outrun early, but closed a gap through the .stretch.
