I AGUA CALIENTE TURF NOTES - $ Charlie Hagan, nationally-known clocker, who has been officiating as time keeper at Agua Caliente, will depart for Hollywood a short time prior to the opening of the meeting at the Inglewood course. Quick Cloud was sold to Mullen and Hanna by C. S. Howard, who was represented by T. Gorsky. Terms of the transaction were private. Apprentice Marion Robison returned here after a visit with his employer, Hurst Phil-pot, who is now at Inglewood, awaiting the opening of the Hollywood Turf Club. It is reported that former jockey Willie Mills will relieve starter Jim Donovan when the latter departs for western Canada. Mills officiated at the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting during the absence of Noel Chilcutt last summer, and his work was entirely satisfactory. George W. Schilling, general manager and steward at Agua Caliente, returned from Bay Meadows, where he went to confer with general manager W. P. Kyne regarding the impending meeting at the San Mateo course. Kyne and Schilling are very optimistic about the forthcoming meeting. Maildun, veteran distance performer, will be absent from competition for an indefinite period, having undergone the firing process after fillinfr his engagement last Sunday.
