TANFORAN CLOSES TODAY SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 21. The Tanforan meeting will come to an end today with the running of a fine program, headed by the Marchbank Handicap, on which a number of horses favored for their consistency will appear. Ready Teddy, a four-time winner at Tanforan this spring, will start in the fourth race. The Flower, which seldom runs a poor race, will be in the first; Your Honor, generally "a safe wager to be in the money, will be in the second; the fast sprinter Mask and Wig will be in the fifth, and the popular distance mare Real Clear in the sixth. The Tanforan session this spring has been a fairly profitable one and when the proceeds are counted following the running of Saturdays races it should show a pari-mu-tuel increase of about 0,000 daily over last fall. Up to but not including Thursday, the daily average handle was slightly above 34,000, while last fall the daily average for the meeting was 25,000. It is expected that about 50,000 will be handled on closing dav.
