GALLEY SWEEP began fastest, but gave way soon afterwards, was steadied along for three-eighths and, moving up fast after swinging wide on the stretch turn, woie down QUEENIE in the final strides and won drawing away. QUEENIE, saved early, was blocked when trying to get through on the inside near the final quarter, came fast when clear, but tired after taking the lead. DON DASH, hustled to the front after starting from outside the stalls, was unable to draw clear and tired fast in the late stages. MATURE was in close quarters early and finished well. CHARITABLE, racing greenly, took command under encrgetjc riding, established a big lead in the stretch, bore out badly near the end, but won easily. LYNN, a strong factor from the start, saved ground on the stretch turn and finished strongly. VALDINA MASQUE, hustled along from the start, was unable to withstand the winner, but tired fast in the closing sixteenth. GRANICUS, in close quarters early, was taken to the inside for the drive and closed with a rush. POLLY CHILLA, forced to race wide to the stretch, held on well. SUN LARK was unable to keep up. ADA W., hustled to the front, was unable to draw clear, gave way near the Final quarter, came again in the last eighth, but was unable to hold the winner. STAR BESS forged to the front after three-eighths, held command under strong handling, gave way after five-eighths, but held on well. PRESUMPTION, rushed to the leaders in the first quarter, dropped back on the far turn, but came again and held on well. CHICALBA had no mishaps. The others were outrun. THE RANGER, away fastest and saved when outrun, moved up rapidly in the stretch, drew clear after forging to the front in the final eighth, but was not good enough. SUNNY MUIR, outrun early, moved up fast on the inside and tired after challenging in the closing eighth. SUNNY SWEDE, hustled along from the start, took command in the stretch, gave way when challenged and tired steadily thereafter. MISS JUNE BUG quit.
