FITZ GERALD RETURNS HOME LEXINGTON, Ky., April 21 Judge C. J. FitzGerald, after a visit of several days to Lexington and vicinity, departed this afternoon for his home at Riverside, Conn. He was in receipt this morning of a telegram from Mort Shaw, advising him that racegoers at Chicago are very happy over the announcement that he is to return as -steward representing the State of Illinois. Judge FitzGerald said that he had hoped to work only at Arlington Park this summer, but that inasmuch as his services were again desired for the entire season in the Chicago district, he had not been able to decline. He is hopeful, however, that next year he will be able to have the vacation he had intended to begin this year. Judge FitzGerald has been using his spare time for the last couple of years writing a book of his memoirs, which is to be published wirhin the next couple of years.
