GIBRALTAR NAVAL MOVEMENTS GIBRALTAR, Spain, April 21. Eight French warships, part of the concentration of sixteen which gathered here this week, sailed eastward into the Mediterranean today as German fighting vessels approached Spanish waters for maneuvers. The other eight of the French ships remained at the Rock to help guard it while the main British Mediterranean fleet is concentrated at Malta. Destination of the departing ships was kept confidential.
