Raise 3,116 for Charity SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 9. — The Herald-American Benefit Fund and the Daily News Veterans Fund, Inc., each received a check for 1,558.44 today from William H. Johnston, president of the National Jockey Club. The money represents the net proceeds realized from a five-day charity meeting staged for the two organizations at this track prior to the regular 13-day session now in progress.
