Vulcans Forge Metropolitan Topweight; Coaltown Declared BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 9. — Racing secretary John B. Campbell released his imposts for Saturdays 5,000 Metropolitan Handicap at one mile today, but the burning question of how much weight Calumet Farms Coaltown would be asked to carry remains unanswered. Trainer H. A. "Jimmy" Jones declared the colt this morning. I. J. Collins Vulcans Forge, who beat Coaltown in the Withers at this track and distance last year, is the topweight under 126 pounds, one more than has been assigned to William Helis Rippey. King Ranchs Better Self, who forced the pace in last years Withers, softening Coaltown for the kill, is next in line at 122, on the same notch with C. V. Whitneys Mount Marcy. Coaltowns major objective at this meeting is the 0,000 Suburban at a mile and a quarter on Memorial Day. Calumets Fervent and Free* America were also declared from the Metropolitan, along with Donor, Escadru, My Request and Natchez. Complete weights follow: Horse. Wt. Horse. Wt.
