Joliet Stakes Nominations Slated to Close Tomorrow SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 9.— Robert P. McAuliffe, of the official staff of the Lincoln Fields Racing Association, which organization will conduct a 30-day meeting beginning May 16 at Washington Park, reminded horsemen here this morning of the closing of nominations for the Joliet Stakes on Wednesday. The Joliet, a 0,000 added event to be run Saturday, May 21, is restricted to two-year-old colts and geldings and is the first stakes offering for juveniles of the 1949 season in this area. A recent nomination, according to Mc Auliffe, to the Joliet was River Divide Farms Sigh Man. This juvenile son of Brief Sigh won in Florida for owner Robert J. Dienst, president of the Beaulah Park Jockey Club, now conducting a spring meeting at Beaulah Park, near Columbus, Ohio.
