FRAPIA assumed command soon after the start, was under light restraint while making the pace, saved ground and continued on gamely under pressure to hold VALDINA PERION safe. The latter drew in closest attendance of the leader entering the home lane and challenged under stout pressure. KHORAWYCH improved position steadily in the late stages. FLEETY QUEEN was well placed and had no mishap. CLYDE T. raced wide on the last turn, then faltered. Ih PRIVATE HOWIE went evenly. LIGHT COUNT showed nothing. PEACE PIPE quit badly. ROSTRUM broke alertly, moved into command midway of the far turn, drew clear and was not in danger thereafter. JUANA, a forward factor from the outset, held on gamely. ROFFIE moved up menacingly on the extreme outside, but was not good enough. VALSIDA worked her way up in a good effort. HER GIFT showed speed for a quarter. DEVIATION was unable to keep up. CHIP closed fast from off the pace. SPEEDY JO had no mishap. FITFUL FIRE broke well, dropped back and showed nothing. REDEAL was never prominent. DOLLY T. took command leaving the gate, held sway for a quarter, then stopped WISE VICKI sulked from the break and refused to run. ETERNAL GREAT, quickest to begin, raced ELLEHCOR into submission, remained close to the inner rail while saving ground on the turns and had enough left to hold GRAND PROSPECT safe The latter, well up and in hand to the final turn, lacked racing room on the inside, was steered wide, then went evenly. SANDLOT, slow to settle into best stride, closed well when roused. ONCE MORE finished well under steady urging. ELLEHCOR was used up forcing the pace. HURINOW was through early. FALSE FRONT worked her way up between horses to enter contention on the far turn, swung to the outside while challenging the leaders, assumed command under pressure and held DADDY JOE safe. The latter was well placed while saving ground early, rallied when roused and was catching the winner. GLOAM, steadied close to the pace, assumed command when ready, then faltered. KENTUCKY RED finished well under intermittent urging. THE EYE passed tiring horses. VEILED THREAT weakened after staying with the early pace. BLUE RHONDA lacked early speed. MINUTES, quickest to begin, was taken back and steadied within striking distance of the pace, moved up readily when set down and, drawing abreast of the leader in the last sixteenth, edged to the front in the final strides. VARODI raced FANCY FUN into submission while racing along on the inside, drew into a clear lead near the far turn, continued on willingly, but faltered in the final yards. CRISIS, unable to get through on the inside entering the lane, went to the outside and closed with good energy. REWARD ALL, rushed up boldly after half a mile, faltered. TILLERETTE was taken up sharply when caught on the inside near the far turn, then failed to regain the lost ground. FANCY FUN was through after forcing the pace to the far turn. SAN JUSTO improved his position steadily, came to the inside of the leader in the final sixteenth to obtain the lead and was drawing out at the end. GUNNISON forced the pace, disposed of the leader when put to a drive, but was unable to hold the winner. SECOND SON broke alertly, turned back early bids for command, drew clear readily, then bogged down when challenged in the stretch. REBORN lacked early foot, came inside for the drive and finished resolutely. MR. BUSTER drove up close to the leaders in the first quarter mile, then tired. ANDANTINO was outrun. NIMBLE TIGER quit. GALLANT DOT passed tiring horses. BILTRITE had no mishap. GALAXY set the pace for a half mile, held on gamely to the final furlong, then flattened out. SEA LOG tired after forcing the pace. STAN TRACY, in hand while following close to the early pace, assumed command when ready, skirted the inner rail and had to be hard ridden to stave off the closing bid of PLAY PRETTY. The latter was steadied to the final quarter of a mile, rallied when roused and closed determinedly. INNATE had no mishap. PENNYPACKER went evenly. THE DRONE showed good speed while setting the early pace, then shortened stride in the late stages. SWEET SARA showed nothing. PENNANT 0 WAR was outrun.
