R. White: bred by E K Thomas WENT TO POST-2:06. OFF AT 2:07 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gats. Won driving; second and third the same. NICK BLOOM was a prominent factor from the start but on the outside and was bearing in slightly in the final furlong, yet outfinished WELL MY WORD in the final strides. The latter was sent through on the inside on the stretch turn and, under pressure, was bearing out in the final sixteenth. A claim of foul was lodged aaainst the latter for impeding BLAZING, which was allowed and he was placed third. BLAZING, a forward factor and between the leaders through the stretch run, was in extremely close quarters in the final few yards and was forced to take up. DIDAPPER began sluggishly and finished well in the stretch run. BRIGHT COMET, on the outside, had no mishap. BASHFUL SUN unseated rider going to the post and ran away a quarter, then raced evenly. GARY LESLIE forced the pace from the beginning, disposed of SILVER rounding the stretch turn and, under urging, held his opposition safe in the final furlong. HEDGETHORN improved his position and saved ground on the stretch turn to finish well. FIRST PAL closed well through the stretch while on the outside. SILVER PUTTER was outrun early. ANDIAMO had no mishap in the running. WHITES FLAG and MAID 0 MINT could not keep up. DUAL PURPOSE was never formidable. TANNETTE outran her field from the start, was roused in the stretch when she began to drift out, but outlasted LUCILLE F. The latter closest to the pacemaker, moved up fast on the inside and finished well. GALLANT NURSE, on the outside of the leaders on the stretch turn, failed to gain thereafter. LUMPUCKEROW had no mishap. DANA DEL raced evenly. PIC-ON-ME was never dangerous. QUEEN CHATTER began slowly. WAR TEMPO failed to improve her position when roused. TENWAY had a flash of early speed. ETERNAL FLIGHT was hustled along from the beginning and saved ground all the way, shook off LEONIDOFF in the stretch run and drew away. The latter, in nearest pursuit of the pace, made a determined bid in the stretch run, but faltered. BEAU JAYJ close up early, was drifting out slightly in the late stages. ATTENTION MARK raced evenly, never menacing the leaders. RICKEY M. B. failed to gain. ILLINI ran away a quarter mile en route to the post and was never formidable thereafter. SOME TOWN outran his field to the first turn and was then steadied along while saving ground, responded well when shaken up in the stretch and held his opposition safe. RIVERTOWN, closest to the pace, made a game bid inside the stretch turn, but then faltered. FLOATING improved her position on the inside and finished well. APPEASE NOT was steered between horses on the stretch turn to make up some ground. BICKER showed a fair effort. BASES LOADED had no mishap. VALS KID moved up fast on the stretch turn, but tired.
