Carl Daigrepont Rides First Winner of Career at Fairmount FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., June 24. — Apprentice Carl Daigrepont rode the first winner of his riding career here at Fairmount- Park Tuesday night when he booted home the long shot, Big Muddy, to victory in the ninth and final event of the evening. The 17-year-old lad who hails from New Orleans has only been riding for a few months and appears to have a long career ahead of him in the saddle from the way he fits a horse. This winning ride was his twenty-second mount on a recognized race track. Carl is under contract to Carl Blair and is at this time under lease to trainer Tom Pruett. His riding engagements here at the Collinsville oval are being made by Reggie Foster.
