McMillan departed for Centennial at Denver after the races here Saturday night and will do the starting for that meet. During the final two weeks of the current meeting, Matt Anderson is sending the field, away. Horsemen shipping to the Dade Park meeting received their condition books for the first week of that meeting. Many horses racing here will ship to the Henderson, Ky. track during the five-week lay-up until the fall meeting starts. Trainer R. H. Balch has taken over the training of the horses owned by E. E. Harris and Mrs. L. C. Gilsson. The stable consists of Cathoy Valley, Rosie H., Charyon H. and Futurette. The horses were formerly trained by T. "Atwood. Tom Hockersmith, director of publicity at the Oaklawn Park race track, Hot Springs, Ark., was a visitor for several days of the sport. Mr. Hockersmith plans on visiting many other tracks in the near future. State steward Ralph W. Choisser, and patrol judges Ray Douglas and Al Gaal departed via plane for Chicago, Wednesday morning to attend a meeting of the Illinois Racing Board. The trio will return in time for the nights races Wednesday. Dr. W. S. McClymonds, owner of the Trumac Stable, returned to his home at Denver, Colo., after spending a week watching his stable perform. During his stay his trainer Roy Nelson, saddled four winners for his employer. The stable will be shipped to Centennial for the forthcoming meeting* Apprentice jockey Ken Griffith, who is now grounded for the remainder of the meeting, will accompany the stable. Fleetridge who broke down during the running of the seventh race Tuesday night will be on the shelf for a long period due to a bad bow. The nine-year-old horse is owned by G. A. Murray. Jockey agent Lew Brown has taken over the engagement book of the apprentice G. R. Martin. Brown is largely responsible for the success of the, leading apprentice rider Ken Griffith, whose book he handled since this meeting got under way. Griffith is now grounded by the stewards for the remainder of the current meeting.
