Invigorators Injuries Suffered In Kent Running, Trainer Says AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y.,_ June 24.— N. R. "Yorkie" McLeod, trainer of Saxoh Stables good three-year-old colt, irivigora-tor, said today that the son of Brookfield had jshowed absolutely no sign of injury prior to his race in the Kent Stakes at Delaware Park, but that he had injured himself during the running of that race. A Daily Racing Form correspondent had been told by a hitherto completely reliable informant that he had seen a sizable lump high-up on the.inside of one of Invigorators thighs before that race. That was evidently an optical illusion. McLeod said that when Invigorator was examined after his race, the. lump was detected, but declared that he was positive that the colt was entirely sound until he"* sprawled coming out of the starting gate; "The whole thing is probably a misunderstanding," the trainer said. "Invigorator is galloping soundly now, but Im giving him time to be sure that he has fully recovered. He may make his next start in the Saranac Handicap at Jamica, but should certainly-be ready for Saratoga, where we expect to run him in the Travers."
