New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 24. Trainer Mark Sarian checked into Suffolk Downs with his useful plater, Bouquet Billy, for the last week of the meeting. Jockey Harold Keene, the nations second leading rider, intends remaining here in New England to continue his efforts to overhaul the pacesetting Willie Shoemaker. Owner H. A. Kimball reports that Algasir is responding to treatment and that his handicap sprint star will be put back in training in the very near future. Trainer J. P. Kelley has shipped his small string, headed by Grandma Josie, to Monmouth Park. s There is a possibility that Woodvale Farm may send one of its .two-yeaf-olds on to Suffolk Downs for the 0,000 Mayflower Stakes this coming Saturday afternoon. Goyamo, Next Page and Phantom Song have been nominated for this "baby" race. Johnny Nerud has purchased Lucky Co-dine and Pomander at a private sale in New York and has had them shipped to Suffolk Downs.
