DONKE SERENADE was rated .within striking distance of the early leaders until the stretch was reached, then came to the outside to easily take command at midstretch and won drawing out. HAPPY AGE was slow to get in stride, but improved his position gradually and was racing well at the end. MARABOUT showed good early speed and raced COURTS MAUDE into defeat, then weakened in the last sixteenth. ALONZO B. went steadily, but failed to threaten. COURTS MAUDE tired. LOCK OUT, a slow starter, trailed the field for half the distance and did not become prominent until the last furlong, then came very fast to rush past PUBLICK nearing the end and won going away. PUBLICK went to the front early and raced wide while setting the pace on the backstretch, then drew away nearing the stretch turn to be many lengths in front at midstretch, but was not good enough. STREAMLINER was always well up. DEAD DUCK seemed to be in rather tight quarters on the inside nearing the far turn and went well thereafter. FINE FETTLE was badly outrun early and made up some ground. WAR ANTIQUE failed to threaten. UNCLE TOM was cleverly rated immediately back of the early pacesetters until ready to move in the stretch, then came steadily on the outside to take over pear the finish and win under urging. FAST BUCK raced close to MASTER RED while the latter was showing the way and bested him narrowly in the final drive. MASTER RED had the most early speed and saved ground while showing good speed. FREE AGENT raced with HAPS REWARD for a quarter, then drew out to increase his margin in the stretch and win easily. BOILER PLATE moved up on the outside around the stretch turn and while no match for the winner, held on well to withstand TWO FISTED. The latter was outrun to the stretch, then came strongly on the outside under hard urging. HOOSIER HAVOC was off well and displayed good early speed, bu was unable to get to the front. HAPS REWARD weakened in the stretch. VAL VEZ raced rather wide. The others were outpaced. Scratched— Pimetum, 118. ARAB ACTRESS was close enough in the early stages, but failed to improve her position to any great extent in the stretch, although saving ground. GOOD CALL improved her position and was going strongly at the finish. BUBBLEY lacked early speed and was between horses during the backstretch run, but did not seem to be bothered, and although racing well through the stretch, did not make up much ground.
