FIND, a sharp factor from the start, disposed of TINY REQUEST when ready and steadily drew clear while in hand. IMPASSE, sluggish to start, came fast when roused and closed with good courage. REPRIMAND was in close quarters at the head of the stretch, secured ample racing room nearing the furlong marker, but lacked the necessary rally. TINY REQUEST gave way suddenly inside the stretch. UPSTROKE raced wide throughout. PUTNEY had no excuse. CAESAR DID was through early. ROMANTIC ROMAN showed nothing. EIGHTH RACE 1 MILE out of chute. Gallorette, Aug. 4, 1947 1:35 5 112. KINGS DAISY assumed command at once and, after outsprinting her rivals into the first turn, held sway thereafter under clever rating. CLOUDY closed with good energy after being placed to stern pressure and gradually was wearing down the leader. YASHMAK moved up menacingly on the outside of the winner at the furlong marker, but weakened when punished. NOVEL REQUEST failed to make up appreciable ground. DOCEDOE was outrun. JUNE TIME began tardily and lost all chance. Scratched 975813 Boots, 108; 93955 Drakensberg, 116; 97580 Tuscania, 104. Attendance, 13,033; Total Mutue! Pool, 01,756.
