i Fanfare Is Topweighted At 122 for Longacres Mile Imposts Scale Down to 100 for 0,000 Stake on August 30 LONGACRES, Seattle, Wash., Aug. 19. Fanfare has been assigned high weight of 122 pounds for the eighteenth running of the 0,000 added Longacres Mile on Sunday, August 30. Racing secretary Man-nie Keller scaled the weights down to 100 pounds for the 33 nominees. There were 32 original nominations, with two supplementary nominees, Mac and Irenes Angela Actium has been Ueclared from the. northwest classic. With the exception of Mac, who. drew 121 pounds, Fanfare must give considerable weight to the remainder of the field. Next highweight is Ocean Mist, winner of. the B. C. Championship at Lansdowne Park this summer, who is assigned 114 pounds. It is the same weight he carried in setting a new track recordfor one and three-sixteenths miles in the British Columbia fixture. Bracketed at 113 pounds are Moby Dick, pre-race choice for next Sundays derby, Diemaker, which equalled the Longacres six furlong track record of 1:09 in the Spokane Handicap, and Easter Time, winner of five straight races at Lansdowne Park this summer. . . Fanfare has won two handicaps in as many outings this season. His last start was in the Independence Day Handicap on July 4.
