Elder and Head in Spotlight HAMILTON, Ohio, Aug. 19. Veteran Roy Head started the day off with a bang as- he rode both ends of the Daily Double at Hamilton on Tuesday but it was the leading rider of last season, Charley Elder, who took down the riding honors for the day as he registered the first triple score of the meeting. Head rode Richelieu and Deanna to a 5.40 double to assume a short-lived lead in the riding race here but Elder scored with Miracle- Mile, Air Poise and Skeleton during the remainder of the "program to boost his total wins for the first two days of racing to five. Elder has, the knack of negotiating the sharp Hamilton turns and has been one of the top riders at the annual meeting for the past years.
