Fall Schedule of Hunt Race Meets Announced Foxcatcher and Rolling Rock Each to Operate for Two Days NEW YORK. N. Y., Aug. 19. The Hunts Committee of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association announced today the fall schedule of hunt race meetings. Opening the season will be the Fox-catcher meeting at Fair Hill, Md., with two consecutive Saturdays,, September " 12 and 19. Previously this had been a one-day meeting. Featured races will be the National. Cup Steeplechase and the Manly Steeplechase. Following this, four days of hunt racing will be held in Pennsylvania. Whitemarsh, George Wideners estate, just outside Philadelphia, will be the scene of a colorful meeting on Saturday, September 26.- Then the two-day meeting at Rolling Rock, Ligonier, on Wednesday and Saturday, October 7 and 10 which features the ,000 added International Gold Cup. Then back to the-Philadelphia area, for the Rose Tree races at Media, where the oldest hunt meeting in America will held on Saturday, October 17. The cross country circuit moves next to New Jersey for two consecutive week ends, first at Amory Haskells Woodland Farm at Red Bank on Saturday, October 24 and to the Essex Fox Hounds meeting on the Schley estate on Saturday, November 1. The final meeting of the year at Mont-pelier, Mrs. Marion duPont Scotts Virginia estate, will be held on Saturday, November 8. The Noel Laing Steeplechase, which is run at this meeting, has always attracted top chasers then in training. Last year it was won by Sea Legs, winner of the 1952 Belmont Grand National, and the best chaser of the current year until he went wrong in mid-June. Missing from the fall list this year is the Radnor meeting, which in the future will continue its spring meeting. The complete list is as follows: Foxcatcher, Fairhill, Md., September 12 and 19. Whitemarsh, Flurtown, Pa., September 26. Rolling Rock, Ligonier, Pa., October 7 and 10. Rose Tree, Media, Pa., October 17. Monmouth, Red Bank, N. J., October 24. Essex, Far Hill, N. J., October 31. Montpelier, Montpelier Station, Va., November 7. Foxcatcher meet is sanctioned by Maryland Racing Commission.
