Rosemary B. Seeks Third Straight Win at Detroit Daughter of Tiger, Bills Captain Form Stout W. L. Huntleys lorida-owned filly, Rosemary B., will try or her third straight success at this Michigan mile track Thursday afternoon /hen she clashes with seven other top-light three-year-olds in the Corunna Notary Purse. The Huntley miss, a aughter of Tiger and Hobby, will shoulder 17 pounds under the allowance terms of tie one-mile test, and she is to have the addle services of the diminutive Kentucky-orn reinsman, Lois Cook, who began the Tednesday program just one winning lount behind the current meetings lead-lg rider, Bobby Baird. Early this year she failed to come up to expectations in Florida, but, since her arrival at the Detroit Race Course captured the one-mile Livonia Rotary Purse and the International Purse at a like distance. While the Huntley filly holds a royal chance for major honors in the Thursday headliner, her stablemate, Bills Captain, who carries the colors of Huntley, Jr., is dangerousat 113 pounds. Bills Captain, a well-conformed colt, the get . of Eight I Thirty and Facile,, finished second to Bright Shoes here earlier in the session and visited the Gulf Stream Park winners ring in March after trimming a capacity field of sprinters in the three-quarters mile Academy Purse, stepping along in an impressive 1:10%. Leroy J. Keating, who developed Rosemary B. and Bills Captain for the Hunt-leys, stated this morning that jockey Mike Gonzalez will have the mount on the latter colt in the Corunna Rotary Purse. Trainer E. E. Russell also will send out an entry in the Thursday feature in Grandview Stables hard-hitting Polemos, 119, and Leo Edwards Blenfly, pegged at 119 pounds. Polemos,, a War Dog-sired colt, turned in his best performance here May 26, downing Mad Hare, Black Bantam, War Token, Our Kite and Hit the Spot in the eight furlongs Northfield Purse. He also finished a sharp second to Rosemary B. in a mile overnight event and placed back of My Fault in a race over a like route. Before shipment north from Florida Polemos scored on two occasions for a "three-three-one" record thus far this year. Kaelin to Ride Jockey Forrest Kaelin will have the mount on one of the Russell-conditioned charges in the Thursday feature. Others expected to go to the post in the Corunna Rotary Purse are Peter Mclntyres Parlor Pink, 110; Grace Kosibas Fast Traffic, 116; Mrs. Daisy Sukundos Sorb, 113, and Tamarack Stables vastly-improved Bright Shoes, 119 pounds. The last-named gelding, a son of Radiate TJ. and New Shoes, was a good class winner of three engagements in 1953 and he finished second here recently to Run Red Run in the six furlongs Philco Purse. Previous to the latter start, the Tamarack Stable sprinter defeated Bills Captain, Blenfly and Run Red Run, among others, in the three-quarters mile Algonac Purse. Jockey Baird will pilot Parlor Pink in the [ Corunna Rotary, Harold Keene is to handle Bright Shoes, and Johnny Rotz rides Sorb. Jockey Charles Swain may accept the mount on Fast Traffic.
