Name Luther as Head Cage Coach at Depauw University GREENCASTLE, Ind., June 23 UP. — Depauw University announced today that Calvin C. Luther, freshman basketball coach at the University of Illinois, has been signed as head basketball coach at Depauw. Luther, former player at Valparaiso University, will take over the job next fall succeeding Robert R. Harvey. Harvey will remain as head track and cross-country coach and associate professor of physical education: Luther, from Bay View High School in Milwaukee, played basketball four years at Valparaiso and was named on the college Ail-Star team which toured with the Harlem Globetrotters in 1951.
