Stewards Rulings DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del.. June 23. — The stewards issued the following ruling today: "Trainer Carson Kirk is suspended for the remainder of the meeting ending Monday, July 5th, for making false statements to the stewards during the course of an investigation. During the term of his suspension, Kirk is denied all privileges of the grounds." AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 23. — The stewards issued the following rulings here today: "For the possession of forbidden medicines, owner-trainer Hubert Vincent, and all horses owned or trained by him are suspended for the balance of this meeting and his case is referred to the Nebraska State Racing Commission for further action. Owner-trainer Hubert Vincent is denied access to and the privileges of the grounds during this suspension. "Upon the report of the official chemist of the Nebraska State Racing Commission that the saliva taken from the horse Mr. Dighton, winner of the eighth race on Saturday, June 19th, 1954, at Ak-Sar-Ben race track, showed the presence of a drug of the nature of procaine, trainer C. L. Audrain, and all horses trained by him are suspended for the balance of this meeting and his case referred to the Nebraska State Racing Commission for further action. "During the term of this suspension trainer C. L. Audrain is denied access to and the privileges of the grounds. "The purse redistribution follows: First, Fido; second, Auntie Mutt; third, Mor Bills; fourth, Pomiso; fifth, Waza Wana. "This ruling shall in no way affect the mutuel pay-off. — "For being on the grounds in an unfit condition groom, Lewis McCarty was ordered ejected and suspended for the balance of :-he meeting, "Upon application by owner J. E. Bouse, the horses Eddie Blue, Guessies Dream and Mr. Step are on this day placed in good standing under the trainership of 3. E. Bouse." FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., June 23. — The stewards here issued the following ruling today: "Jockey John Orosco is hereby fined the sum of 0 for making a frivolous claim of foul after the running of the sixth race on Tuesday night, June 22, 1954." LA MESA PARK, Raton, N. M., June 22. — The stewards here today issued the following rulings: "For rough riding in the fourth race, Saturday, June 19, while astride Vandys Dee, apprentice jockey Jerry Fisher is suspended five 5 racing days, ending July 6, 1954. "For careless riding in the first race, Saturday, June 19, while astride Phantom Flew, apprentice jockey Leroy Nelson is suspended two 2 racing days, ending Monday, June 28. "For unsatisfactory rides on Mary Marie in the eighth race and Jamboree Bud in the twelfth race, Saturday, June 19, jockey Johnny E. Lane-is fined fifty dollars, 0.00. "For causing interference in the third race, Sunday, June 20, and for making no effort to straighten his mount, causing the mount, Mr. Pawhuska, to be disqualified from first place and placed third, jockey Johnny E. Lane is suspended five 5 racing days, ending July 6. "Mr. Pawshuska, winner of the third race, Sunday, June 20, is disqualified and placed third. "For not allowing sufficient racing room for horses on the inside at the quarter pole during the running of the ninth race, Sunday, June 20, while astride Seibert Girl, jockey Burton Thornton is fined fifty dollars 0.00 ." LINCOLN, Nebr., June 23. — The Nebraska State Racing Commission today issued the following ruling: "On this day jockey Philip Tuccio is restored to good standing." PLEASANTON, Calif., June 23.— The board of stewards issued the following rulings: "For causing interference when leaving the gate in the seventh race, June 21, jockey Bernard Pludow, who was astride Venerable is suspended for five vdays commencing June 24 and concluding June 29. "For causing interference on the backstretch after leaving the gate while astride Bendigo in the tenth race, June 21, jockey Glen Smith is suspended for five days commencing June 23 and concluding June 28."
