DARTING BROOK moved up to the. early leaders on the outside nearing the stretch turn to take command when straightened out for home and drew away easily in the last eighth. THREE CROWNS was guided sharply to the inside nearing midstretch, then came strongly next to the rail. GALLANT ANSWER showed good speed for five furlongs, then weakened. LADY JOKER was in tight quarters after entering the stretch. THEMIS went evenly in a fair effort. LADY SAMM was outpaced. , MAMBO was off poorly. FLOUR CITY was also off slowly and was used up dashing to the front after going a quarter and tired badly. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. Sir Harry, July 28, 1928—1:50-4—110. ASHES went to the front at once and, soon taking a good lead, was never in danger of being headed. SHOTRAL was taken back soon after the start, then moved up on the inside in the stretch, but had to be punished to best SUPER. SPEED. The latter also made a fair move on the . outside through the stretch. SLINGER was never a contender in a dull effort. CHOW CHOW dropped out of it after going six furlongs.
