EARLY FOOT raced in closest pursuit of JILLI0N BARELS to the final turn, disposed of that one when ready thereafter and briskly drew clear, winning with speed in reserve. OISEAU BLEU, never far back, was unable to endanger the winner when hard hustled through the final furlong. DUCKHUNTER, away sluggishly, came to the outside for the drive, but under pressure was lot good enough. JILLION BARELS quit. YASUO, fractious at the post, never was prominent. PAGES DARLING, forced to take the complete overland route leaving the final turn, closed willingly when straightened. LIBBYS FIRST appeared to attempt, to drift out during the run down the backstretch, continued in the middle of the track for the drive, but was unable to become an endangering factor. THE STRAW, much used early, had little left. WINTERFUR quit BLUSHKA was outrun. SORORITY MISS moved up menacingly leaving the far turn, but shortened stride when punished. JET FLASH lacked ample racing room after being guided to the inside for the drive. QUEENS STORY began sluggishly. SINGING GIRL failed to stay. POLISH raced wide. STOLEN JOY showed nothing. THE PROFF steadily improved his position to attain a contending position leaving the final turn, went to the front nearing the hedge and, though trying to lug In through the late stages, gradually drew out. AMY ROBSART, steadied back of the early leaders, went to the front between jumps entering the stretch, was unable" to cope with the. challenge of the winner, but easily prevailed over the others. LUCKY TRINE, much used early, faltered when the real test came. BOMBEZ lacked a rally. BLACK BID moved up menacingly on the far turn, then flattened. SHIMKE made the pace to the stretch understeadying restraint and continued to increase his advantage thereafter, winning as if much the best. OUT OF REACH worked his way forward to gain closer contention hearing the furlong marker, but was no match for the winner when called upon for his best effort. SHEEPSKIN raced forwardly to the stretch while saving ground, but failed to respond when shaken for the ultimate test. OVERPRICED had no mishap. SCYLAX tired. DROGHEDA was through early. STRONG TIE, outrun for six furlongs, was taken outside for the final run and gained a narrow victory over ARDETTE. The latter raced within easy striking distance, responded to wear down the leaders and just missed. GUIDED ROCKET was taken to the outside to engage the leaders, attained a clear advantage -entering the stretch and gave way. MONT-ROSE could not keep pace. NIDA HAND guit badly. COLLISION dropped back in the run to the first turn and failed to reach contention. TASTE TEST guit. LOVELY EADIE showed nothing. SMILEY guit to a walk. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES.
